Tarek Imam

Born in 1977, he started writing early, publishing his first book of stories, “New Birds Unspoiled by the Air” in 1995. He published 12 books, between novels and short stories collections, most notably “The Cat’s Law” , “The Tranquility of Murderers”, “The Second Life of Constantine Cavafy”, “City of Infinite Walls”. Some of his works and texts have been translated into more than one language, including English, Spanish, Italian and French, and he has won many Arab and international awards, including the State Sawiris, Central Prize of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture. The following year he received the Suad Al-Sabah Prize and the Spanish Prize of the Museum “Λέξης”.
