The SheikhHamad(Qatar) International Award for Translation and International Understanding, in the “Life Achievement“ category – one of the most prestigious awards in the Arab world – is given to the Cairo-based author and translator Persa Koumoutsi for her work and contribution to intercultural dialogue.
